You can go to the Hazardous Waste Center. It is important that we not throw chemicals away
into the regular trash due to the releasing of it's toxic gases and chemicals that are
harmful to the environment.

Compost bins are bins to collect things that could be used as a fertilizer for gardens.
You can find a compost bin at the School and the Materials Recovery Center.
Play the Dumptown Game- Click on the link on the road sign that says, “Dumptown
Game.” Carefully read the instructions before playing the game. The overall idea is
that you start with a dumpy, dirty city, and you will start recycling programs that will
improve your city.
15) Your goal is to reduce the amount of paper going into the landfill, while spending as
little money as possible. Determine what combination of programs will cause the
greatest effect for the least cost.

Business Recycling: 20 tons of paper and cardboard reduced
Pay as you throw: Increases effectiveness of all other active programs making greater decrease in waste
( Pay as you throw should be last to start up)
Home recycling: 14 tons of paper and cardboard waste collected

I used home recycling, business recycling, and pay as you throw and ended with 45 tons of paper and cardboard.
It cost me about 103000$ in all.
17) Now try to reduce the overall waste in the city. You cannot spend more than
$200,000. Try different combinations of programs to determine which combinations will

pay as you throw last. I got a total of 68 tons of waste recovered costing me 194000$.
