Topic: Baby plants are having difficulty growing in the city while the trees easily grow.
City plants have it pretty good in the city. Because of how they are placed out of their natural habitats, they have had to adapt to the city's heat and weather. On the positive side, the trees have a longer growing season as the atmosphere in the cities are like a fertilizer. This atmosphere lets them grow taller and nicer. On the other hand, newly planted seeds have a hard time even sprouting. The increased temperature makes evaporation faster letting the seeds die of dehydration.
I took an interest in this because of the fact that new seeds are having difficulty in growing. If we are cutting down more and more trees, how fast will new trees be able to grow to replace the old ones? What also got me interested was of how the currently grown trees are apparently getting help from global warming. The article states that the city's air is helping the trees grow even more. Last time I checked, cities have a lot of smog and fossil fuels surrounding the air. These make me wonder how bad global warming can be.
